Additional Information

PATIENT REFERENCE GROUP
Dear Patient,
We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.
To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn't take too much of your time.
We aim to gather around fifty patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please send an email to the practice gillmoss.generic@nhs.net  with the following details:
Name, Address, DOB, Contact Telephone Number, Email address
We will be in touch shortly after we receive your email. Please note that no medical information or questions will be responded to.
Many thanks for your assistance

NAMED GP
From 1st April 2015, patients should be informed of who their named GP is
This does not affect your care in any way and as always you can see, subject to availability, the doctor of your choice. The doctor you see may not be your named GP as this is the doctor on whose list you are allocated. This was originally allocated by the health authority and that GP is responsible for co-ordinating aspects of your care though you can see any doctor in the practice if they are available.

This information will be given to you when you have contact with the practice either at reception or during a consultation with a clinician. If the information isn't offered to you and you would like to know, please ask the person you speak to who your named GP is.

PLEASE SPEAK TO ONE OF THE RECEPTION STAFF IF YOU REQUIRE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.

GP Mean Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (i.e average pay) for GP's working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GP's working in Gillmoss Medical Centre in the last financial year was £26,480 before tax and national insurance.  This is for one full time GP and 2 part time GP's, all of whom worked in the practice for more than six months.

NHS England require that the net earnings of GP's in practice be published, see above.  However, the method of calculating this data does not take into account the time each GP devotes to the practice and therefore should not be used to compare one practice with another or to draw conclusions about GP earnings in general.
